About the role

The Department of Fisheries Biology at Cal Poly Humboldt offers outstanding undergraduate and graduate programs in Fisheries Biology. We also have two affiliated cooperative programs, The Pacific Coast Ocean Observing System (PaCOOS) and the CA Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit.

Responsibilities

  • Teach courses in Fisheries Biology and related fields.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new curriculum.
  • Participate in research projects and publish findings.
  • Provide mentorship to students and contribute to their professional development.
  • Engage in community outreach and collaboration with industry partners.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Fisheries Biology or a related field.
  • Successful teaching experience in the field.
  • Preferred qualifications include a PhD and teaching effectiveness as evidenced by supervisors, colleagues, or students.

Benefits

Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience. The salary schedule ranges from $5,507 - $14,523 per month. The University provides comprehensive benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, and professional development opportunities.
