Learning and Development Trainer I

Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver and co-facilitate virtual and in-person training sessions using established curricula and materials
  • Support onboarding programs and ongoing development training initiatives
  • Aid in updating training materials, job aids, and presentation content as needed
  • Collaborate with L&D team members and subject matter experts to maintain accurate and relevant learning content
  • Coordinate training logistics, including scheduling, communications, and participant tracking
  • Collect and compile learner feedback and assist with basic reporting on training effectiveness
  • Utilize the Learning Management System (LMS) to assign courses, track completion, and support learners
  • Provide basic technical assistance to participants during virtual sessions
  • Maintain accurate documentation of training activities and materials
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Skills, Licenses, Certifications

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, One Drive, SharePoint, Teams, PowerPoint)
  • Proficient in basic IT troubleshooting, system setup, and navigation – and ability to teach to others
  • Beginner level instructional design experience
  • Content development experience desired

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Property and Casualty (or state equivalent) insurance license preferred
  • Minimum of 1+ years insurance experience in Personal and/or Commercial Lines (Commercial experience highly preferred)
  • Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in Training (or related field)

  • Excellent verbal and written communicator; must be able to convey the most complex of ideas in a clear and concise manner
  • Able to learn new Brightway systems and procedures quickly
