About the role

Martin Marietta is seeking a safety-conscious, dependable, and motivated Lead Person to join our team. This individual will communicate standards of excellence to their assigned team through daily interactions, team meetings, performance evaluations, and disciplinary recommendations to ensure safe production as outlined by Management.

This position requires travel from the quarry to other locations. Hours are 6:30 am - 5:30 pm, including weekends and overtime as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard office duties, plant duties, equipment repairs, and operate mobile equipment.
• Establish and maintain effective communications within all areas of operation.
• Conduct regular inspections for safety, housekeeping, and mechanical issues.
• Implement and apply all safety rules, regulations, and procedures as set forth by federal, state, and local agencies, as well as company guidelines.
• Work closely with the Sr. Team Coordinator and Production Supervisor to ensure scheduled maintenance on all equipment.
• Complete annual performance evaluations on team members.
• Participate on the plant safety committee.
• Assist in developing mining plans, profit plans, AFE's, and monthly forecasts with the Plant Manager, Production Supervisor, and Sr. Team Coordinator.
• Complete daily production, safety, and maintenance reports accurately.
• Maintain plant housekeeping, appearance standards, and product quality as established by regulatory agencies and company guidelines.
• Aid in the training of co-workers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Three (3) years of experience in the building materials, mining, or aggregates industry.
