Lead Veterinary Receptionist / Client Services Representative
About the role
As the first point of contact for our clients, you’ll provide outstanding customer service—scheduling appointments, managing client communications, processing payments, and offering guidance on our services. You’ll also join our leadership team to assist with front desk operations, oversee daily workflows, support and train fellow Client Service Representatives (CSRs), and ensure that every client interaction reflects our commitment to kindness, clarity, and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for clients, creating a welcoming and supportive environment.
- Schedule appointments and manage client communications.
- Process payments and provide guidance on veterinary services.
- Oversee daily front desk workflows and operations.
- Support, train, and coach fellow CSRs.
- Address client concerns and resolve issues professionally while maintaining a positive experience.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a reception role.
- Previous veterinary receptionist or healthcare-related front-desk experience required.
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology, appointment scheduling, medical records, client communication, and general hospital workflows.
Skills
- Strong client service and communication skills, including the ability to communicate professionally and compassionately during stressful or emotional situations.
- Leadership and team support, with experience providing guidance, training, coaching, or day-to-day support to other team members.
- Organization and multitasking, with the ability to prioritize competing needs and manage front-desk workflows in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution, with comfort addressing client concerns and making sound decisions.

Pay
$20 - $25 per hour.
Schedule
Full-time position with a 5/8 schedule, Monday through Friday.

Jamacha Pet Vets is an 8-doctor small-animal practice with 3 credentialed technicians caring for dogs and cats. The freestanding hospital offers digital X-ray, digital dental radiography, IDEXX and in-house laboratory capabilities, laser therapy, and ultrasound. The team provides general soft tissue surgery as well as orthopedic procedures supported by a residency-trained doctor, with opportunities for advanced case exposure and continued growth.
