We are looking for a Lead Receptionist to join our growing team. This individual will be an integral part of developing client relationships and will assist the Hospital Manager, Medical Director, and Lead Veterinary Technician in ensuring efficient hospital operations. Responsibilities
- Oversee the process of patient admissions and discharges
- Ensure hospital flow is efficient and effective
- Collaborate closely with the Lead Veterinary Technician, Hospital Manager, and Medical Director to identify opportunities for operational improvements
- Train all new reception Team Members
- Maintain a strong understanding of veterinary products and medications, including prescription medications, veterinary diets, over-the-counter medications, and supplements
- Work with the Marketing Team and Hospital Manager to review and respond to client concerns
- Check patients in, discharge patients, and handle invoicing
- Provide customer service, including greeting customers, answering questions, processing incoming patients, and handling payments
- Answer phone calls, which may include answering questions, scheduling appointments, and recording messages for doctors and staff
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and email
- Update and file patient charts
- Enter data into computerized billing program
- Retrieve prescriptions
- Assist with pet supply purchases such as food, supplements, and grooming items
- Maintain the cleanliness of the waiting room
- Retail sales
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds, stoop, bend, and stand on feet for long periods
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or relevant education and work experience
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
