Job Responsibilities
- Oversight of patient admissions and discharges
- Ensuring efficient and effective hospital flow
- Collaboration with Lead Veterinary Technician, Hospital Manager, and Medical Director for operational improvements
- Training of all new reception Team Members
- Maintaining a strong understanding of veterinary products and medications
- Working with Marketing Team and Hospital Manager to review and respond to client concerns
- Checking patients in, discharging patients, invoicing
- Providing customer service such as greeting customers, answering questions, processing incoming patients, and handling payments
- Answering phone calls, including answering questions, scheduling appointments, and recording messages
- Handling incoming and outgoing mail and email
- Updating and filing patient charts
- Entering data into computerized billing program
- Retrieving prescriptions
- Aiding with pet supply purchases such as food, supplements, and grooming items
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the waiting room
- Performing retail sales
Skills / Qualifications
- High School Diploma or relevant education and work experience
- Experience in the veterinary field
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Customer Service
