Supervisor Shipment Management responsible for interfacing with internal and external customers on operational issues, tactical communications, and account status updates. Includes daily conference calls, customer site visits, and internal/external presentations.
Responsibilities
- Direct interface with internal and external customers on operational issues and tactical communications.
- Supervisory responsibilities for Shipment Management Coordinators (SMCs) and direction to Shipment Management Representatives (SMRs).
- Provide tactical account-level operational support, including front-line execution of customer business requirements and solution development/deployment.
- Maintain account-level quality system in accordance with site/service-wide ISO 9001 standards; function as an internal ISO auditor.
- Accumulate and report account-specific metrics and measurements to management.
- Plan staffing and operational requirements based on customer needs and forecasting.
- Develop and execute training programs for account and operational activities.
- Track and report financial metrics and measurements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Intermediate knowledge of basic financial management and SMCC financial requirements.
- Understanding of SMS interaction in customer order management and ERP systems.
- Understanding of assigned customer, product, and distribution requirements.
- Ability to understand and maintain SMCC-specific ISO 9001 procedures and policies.
- Knowledge and support of RIL policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred, especially in a related field.
- Two or more years of direct transportation and/or logistics work experience.
- 0 to 1 year of direct supervisory or leadership experience.
Pay
Salaried position with a pay range of $60,000 to $60,000 annually.
