Lead Specialist - OTO Surgery Srvcs
About the role
Performs advanced, specialized work to assist in the organization and implementation of various projects and programs. Work is performed under minimal supervision within established policies with latitude for independent judgment. Works on special projects as assigned. May substitute for supervisor during his/her absence.
Responsibilities
- Respond to patient inquiries.
- Verify patient benefits and follow up.
- Obtain referrals/Verify insurance and schedules.
- Obtain pre-certification for procedures and surgeries for all ENT patients, Neuro/Radiology and document information in Centricity.
- Schedule patients for surgical procedures and follow-up appointments.
- Post surgeries to the hospital website and ensure orders and consents are faxed to Outpatient Surgery and managed care.
- Obtain surgery clearances for patients.
Requirements
- High school plus six years experience in related field.
- Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with referral/managed care process.
- Experience scheduling surgeries in a clinic.

Visa Information
- TTUHSC, at its sole discretion, may initiate new H-1B I-129 visa petitions in accordance with the directive issued by Governor Abbott.
- Approval from the Texas Workforce Commission is required.
