Lead Materials Coordinator

About the role

Bechtel Energy Inc. is seeking a Lead Materials Coordinator to plan, coordinate, and supervise project material management activities for EPC construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise project material management activities for EPC construction projects, including receiving, storage, inventory control, issuance, and movement of construction materials, tools, and equipment.
• Oversee site and warehouse inventory control processes, including material tracking, cycle counts, and reconciliations, to support uninterrupted construction and project schedules.
• Utilize ERP/MRP or construction material management systems to process material transactions, track inventory levels, and generate material status and availability reports for project teams.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and project controls teams to align material requirements with project drawings, bills of materials and construction schedules.
• Monitor supplier and subcontractor deliveries to construction sites, track delivery status, and communicate shortages, delays, or discrepancies to procurement and project stakeholders.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience in material management and coordination, with knowledge of inventory control processes and construction material management systems.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of project management principles and practices, with excellent communication and coordination skills.

Skills

The candidate should be proficient in ERP/MRP or construction material management systems, with the ability to process material transactions and generate reports.
