Material Coordinator Hazmat Lead

Responsibilities

• Develops a course of action to ensure the Outboiund Freight Team executes the mission with zero defects.
• Assigns missions to the Team and verifies progress in the execution of these missions.
• Provides technical expertise to the Team as needed.
• Obtain air and water clearances as required for freight shipments.
• Prepare bills of lading and train employees on proper preparation.
• Review Subordinates load plans during Major outload missions.
• Track and/or trace inbound and outbound freight.
• Provides leadership to the Outbound Freight Team.
• Work around large moving trucks and military equipment.
• Must possess vision to read printed materials and computer screens; hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.
• Must be able to travel 25% of the year.
• May perform work in conditions of inclement weather, extreme heat and cold, high/low humidity, blowing sand and dust, and work in confined spaces and at heights.
• Duties may require walking, lifting, standing for long periods and being exposed to hot, cold and wet conditions.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Education/Certifications: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with forklifts, pallet jacks and other handling equipment.
• Able to work independently or in a team-based, high collaborative environment.
• Valid REAL ID State Driver’s License with no restrictions.
• Able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
• Able to obtain and maintain a NACI Tier 1 Public Trust.
• Able to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship, such as a birth certificate or a U.S. Passport.
• Able to maintain driving privileges aboard the Fort Bragg Installation.

Skills & Experience

• 2 to 5 years Transportation experience.
• Familiarity with Defense Transportation Regulation covering Cargo movement.
• Ability to work independently with little direction or supervision.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task under short deadlines.
• Effective organizational, analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
