Lead Materials Coordinator

About the role

The Lead Materials Coordinator will plan, coordinate, and supervise project material management activities for EPC construction projects. This includes receiving, storage, inventory control, issuance, and movement of construction materials, tools, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee site and warehouse inventory control processes, including material tracking, cycle counts, and reconciliations, to support uninterrupted construction and project schedules.
• Utilize ERP/MRP or construction material management systems to process material transactions, track inventory levels, and generate material status and availability reports for project teams.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and project controls teams to align material requirements with project drawings, bills of materials and construction schedules.
• Monitor supplier and subcontractor deliveries to construction sites, track delivery status, and communicate shortages, delays, or discrepancies to procurement and project stakeholders.
• Supervise material handling, warehouse, and site logistics personnel, assign daily tasks, monitor work performance, and ensure adherence to approved material handling and storage procedures.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and preservation of construction materials, including structural components, piping, electrical equipment, and other construction materials.
