About the role
Spavia SouthPark is hiring part-time and full-time Licensed Massage Therapists. This is a W-2 position where we handle marketing and supplies so you can focus on massage. We offer a steady schedule with loyal guests and members.
Pay structure
- Transparent pay structure based on experience
- Average pay per 60-min massage: $55-$66 (includes gratuity)
- Advanced services: Up to $82 for 80-100 min treatments
- Signature/Relaxation Massage - 60 min: $55-$58
- Advanced Deep Tissue/Sports/Salt Stone - 60 min: $60-$64
- Extended Modalities - 80-100 min: $66-$84
- Most guests choose advanced/extended treatments
- Average therapists gratuity: ~$20 included
- Experienced therapists at 30 hrs/week (80% scheduled) earn $70K-$75K+ annually plus Lead Pay
- Extra pay from enhancements, retail sales & bonuses
Lead responsibilities
Lead responsibilities are separate from treatment work and are paid hourly at $18-$20, while hands-on treatments continue to be paid per-treatment with applicable gratuities and commissions.
- Team Management: Build and balance weekly therapist schedules; manage swaps/requests; ensure peak-time coverage and maximize provider utilization
- Training & Coaching: Onboard new MTs; coach body mechanics, service protocols, SOAP quality, and enhancement uptake; mentor for a consistent 5-star guest experience
- Sales, KPIs & Reporting: Lead daily huddles and maintain a visible scoreboard; drive membership and retail goals; track/report utilization, rescheduling %, enhancement attach rate, and guest reviews/NPS; execute monthly campaigns
- Standards & Guest Experience: Model Spavia treatment standards; ensure thorough consultations, ethical upsells, and clear home-care guidance with pre-scheduling
- Cleanliness, Safety & Presentation: Oversee room readiness (linens, warmers, tools), sanitation, and safety checks so every space is clean, stocked, and guest-ready
- Hiring & Onboarding: Assist with interviews/auditions, orientation, and modality training; uphold Spavia Brand Standards and guest-journey scripts
- Inventory & Equipment: Monitor massage product/back-bar levels, enhancement supplies, and linens; coordinate ordering/receiving and par levels; control shrink and maintain equipment
Schedule
- Full-time
- Weekend/evening availability preferred
- 10-minute turnover between services
- Typical shift 5-6.5 hours: equivalent to four or five 60-minute massages

Requirements
- Active Massage Therapy license in North Carolina
