Lead Massage Therapist

About the role

You will oversee and train all Spa team members to ensure guests receive the ultimate spa experience. As the master organizer, you will schedule all spa-related appointments, check guests in and out, and assist in all retail sales. You will come with a friendly and helpful demeanor, manage guest issues, and create solutions. You will also ensure the spa and fitness facilities are prepared for proper opening and closing each day, monitor and maintain cleanliness and orderliness, and ensure facilities and amenities are in proper working order.

Responsibilities

• Arrange all spa appointments for à la carte services, activities, and packages
• Support the Director of Wellness with all administrative functions of the Spa, including using Spa software, maintaining inventory of supplies, answering telephones, making appointments, and answering questions
• Oversee efficiency of Spa operations at the Spa front desk via proper scheduling of appointments and staff; review and revise scheduling daily
• Assist with billing for all Spa services and retail sales, including preparing receipts
• Be thoroughly familiar with and provide instruction on Spa software
• Assist with inventories and cost control
• Assist in monitoring and evaluating Spa Reception and Locker Room employees

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience within a luxury hotel property, spa environment, or luxury retailer preferred
• Experience leading a small team with a positive and heartfelt approach
• Ability to handle customer requests, issues, and come up with quick solutions
• Trustworthy to handle confidential guest information
• Show initiative and strive to prioritize operational needs and anticipate guest requests
• Excellent communicator, great listener, and understanding toward both team members and guests
