About the role
This position involves managing operational quality control tasks and ensuring adherence to policies and procedures. Key responsibilities include reviewing technician assignments, conducting spot checks, and communicating with tech support.
Responsibilities
- Manage technician assignments and sign-offs to ensure compliance with Roster Authorizations and Repair Station Authorizations.
- Perform front-line spot checks of maintenance activity to verify adherence to AMM, RSQCM, and customer GMM guidelines.
- Run/taxi qualification of techs, verify squawk completion, and conduct operational checks.
- Ensure MEL procedures are complied with and MQB 2018-02 Rev 1 procedures are followed.
- Final walk-around and release of aircraft, ensuring proper tagging and inspection of parts.
- Advising customers via email about aircraft releases, verifying tech support involvement, and checking MX Net status.
- Reject non-compliant items and work, hold release if unsatisfactory conditions are identified, and reject corrective actions related to quality issues.
- Communicate effectively in English, including speaking, writing, and reading.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent and Airframe and Powerplant License or Repairman Certificate.
- A valid driver’s license for airline travel and/or a valid passport (ideal but not mandatory).
- Aircraft-specific factory training preferred.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in maintenance, preventive maintenance, or alterations with Part 43 certification.
- Proficient in using various inspection equipment and visual inspection aids.
- Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable transportation and ability to perform work according to FAA guidelines.
- Ability to work independently and maintain customer-oriented work habits.
- Physical requirements include lifting up to 70 lbs, routine walking, bending, squatting, sitting, and working on elevated platforms.
Skills
- Strong understanding of regulatory guidelines and troubleshooting system operations.
- Effective communication skills (speaking, writing, reading).
- Proficiency in using Apple and Microsoft products, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Pay
The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $40.00 - $60.00. Additional compensation includes a shift differential and a semi-annual discretionary bonus.
Schedule
Weekly competitive and industry-leading pay means you are paid more often. Flexible work schedules are available, including 5x8, 4x10, and 3x12.
