About the role
This position involves managing operational quality control tasks and ensuring adherence to policies and procedures. Key responsibilities include reviewing technician assignments, conducting spot checks, and communicating with tech support.
Responsibilities
- Manage technician assignments and sign-offs to ensure compliance with Roster Authorizations and Repair Station Authorizations.
- Perform front-line spot checks of technician maintenance activity to verify adherence to AMM, RSQCM, and customer GMM guidelines.
- Run/taxi qualification of techs, verify squawk completion, and ensure satisfactory completion of operational checks.
- Verify MEL procedures and communicate with tech support regarding customer MEL "M" procedures.
- Final walk-around and release of aircraft, ensuring compliance with WSA Repair Station & Quality Control Manual, Customer Maintenance Programs, and Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Advise customers via email about aircraft release from West Star Aviation custody.
- Ensure proper tagging, inspection, and identification of parts and components.
- Review and reject non-compliant items and work, hold release if unsatisfactory conditions are identified, and implement corrective actions.
- Communicate effectively in English and handle other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A High school diploma or equivalent and Airframe and Powerplant License or Repairman Certificate.
- A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport (ideal but not mandatory).
- Aircraft specific factory training is preferred.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in maintenance, preventive maintenance, or alterations with part 43.
- Proficient in using various inspection equipment and visual inspection aids.
- Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable transportation and ability to perform work according to FAA guidelines.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Skills
- Strong understanding of regulatory guidelines and systems operation.
- Effective troubleshooting and evaluation skills.
- Professional communication abilities.
- Computer literacy with Apple and Microsoft products.
- Experience with Apple and Microsoft products especially Outlook, Word, and Excel spreadsheets.
- Ability to travel to various locations and work in different weather conditions.

Pay
The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $40.00 - $60.00. Additional compensation in the form of a shift differential may be provided.
Schedule
Varied work shifts including 5x8, 4x10, and 3x12 schedules are available.
