About the role

This position involves managing operational quality control tasks, ensuring compliance with relevant manuals and regulations, and performing various maintenance activities. The Lead Maintenance Inspector will also oversee multiple projects and supervise team members.

Responsibilities

  • Manage technician assignments and sign-offs to ensure adherence to Roster Authorizations and Repair Station Authorizations.
  • Perform front-line spot checks of technician maintenance activity to verify compliance with AMM, RSQCM, and customer GMM guidelines.
  • Run/taxi qualification of techs, verify squawk completion, and conduct operational checks.
  • Communicate with tech support, verify MEL procedures, and monitor Ramp App usage.
  • Release aircraft after final walk-around and ensure proper tagging and inspection of parts.
  • Review and reject non-compliant work, hold release lines, and provide corrective actions.
  • Communicate effectively in English and handle other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A High school diploma or equivalent and Airframe and Powerplant License or Repairman Certificate.
  • A valid driver’s license for airline travel and/or a valid passport (ideal but not mandatory).
  • Aircraft specific factory training is preferred.
  • Extensive experience in maintenance, preventive maintenance, or alterations with Part 43.
  • Proficient in using inspection equipment and visual inspection aids.

  • Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable transportation to work.
  • Ability to follow Federal Aviation Administration guidelines and company safety rules.
  • Customer-oriented work habits.
  • Direct and supervise team members in daily operations and duties.
  • Completion of work orders and FAA paperwork.

Skills

  • Understanding and implementation of regulations and guidelines.
  • Troubleshooting system operation.
  • Effective communication (speaking, writing, reading).
  • Use of Apple and Microsoft products, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Travel to various locations and work in different environments.

Pay

The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $40.00 - $60.00. Additional compensation includes a shift differential and a semi-annual discretionary bonus.

Schedule

Flexible work schedules including 5x8, 4x10, and 3x12 shifts are available.
