About the role

Full-time, 40 hours per week. Office hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–5:00 PM. Location: Lisle, IL. Travel as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct clinical support to providers, including rooming patients, assisting with procedures, and completing clinical tasks.
  • Support efficient patient flow and maintain an organized clinical environment.
  • Coordinate day-to-day activities within the care team to ensure smooth clinic operations.
  • Serve as a resource for Medical Assistants, offering guidance, direction, and support.
  • Assist with onboarding, training, and development of clinical staff.
  • Reinforce standard workflows and promote consistency across the team.
  • Maintain adherence to clinical protocols, safety standards, and documentation requirements.
  • Collaborate with providers, clinic leadership, and front desk staff to support a cohesive patient experience.
  • Communicate effectively across teams and escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Support implementation of workflow improvements and organizational initiatives.
  • Manage in-basket work, prior authorizations, referrals, and general patient communications to ensure timely completion.
  • Assist with phone support and coordination of patient access needs in partnership with clinic leadership.
  • Work with providers to assist with patient outreach, including scheduling follow-ups and preparing patient communications.
  • Review reports and workflows to ensure processes are followed and operational expectations are met.
  • Ensure co-pays are compliantly collected and cash handling processes are followed, including reconciliation and deposits.
  • Conduct routine walk-throughs of the clinic to ensure a clean, safe, and compliant environment, including monitoring for expired medications and proper disposal practices.
  • Support training and reinforcement of regulatory and compliance requirements, including ensuring required certifications are current.
  • Monitor clinic support functions such as transportation and housekeeping as applicable.
  • Assist with team scheduling and coordination, including input on staffing needs, overtime, and time-off requests.
  • Collaborate with clinic leadership and administrative teams on operational planning and execution.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant or Paramedic program.
  • Certified or registered Medical Assistant preferred but not required.
  • CPR Certification required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of MA/CMA experience, preferably in the medical field.

Pay

Base pay range: $23.76–$26.03/hour for Lead Medical Assistant; $24.76–$27.03/hour for Certified or Registered Lead Medical Assistant. Actual pay determined by skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives.
