About the role
The Lamination Operator is responsible for the fabrication and production of component parts for the final assembly of windows. This entry-level Production Operator position involves assembling building material components on an assembly line under direct supervision. Tasks include insertion or positioning of materials, clamping, splicing, fitting parts, and using both hand and power tools. The role requires working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive environment with heavy lifting.
Responsibilities
- Perform one or more repetitive jobs on an assembly line to assemble window material components.
- Insert or position materials, clamp, splice, and fit parts using hand and power tools.
- Observe all safety procedures and practices to prevent injury to self or co-workers.
- Stand or walk on a concrete floor surface for up to a ten-hour shift.
Requirements
- Lifting requirements: 20 lbs. frequently and 40 lbs. occasionally for light production; 40 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionally for heavy production.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools to fabricate and assemble components.
- Ability to be cross-trained in multiple functions within and between department lines.
- Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
