Lamination Machine Operator - 1st Shift (M-TH)

About the role

ePac Flexible Packaging is a global company with operations in multiple continents, dedicated to providing innovative packaging solutions to consumer packaged goods companies. This position is located in a 10-hour shift Monday through Thursday.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and ensures proper materials are used for production to avoid errors and ensure materials match requirements.
• Runs the appropriate amount of material/footage to the job order and performs proper checking of production and materials.
• Prepares for production at the end of each day for the following day.
• Performs all required quality checks before producing all production orders to ensure they can be processed at the next stage of the manufacturing process.
• Loads and unloads material from the laminators using defined equipment.
• Sets up and operates specific laminating machines according to company laminating procedures and guidelines.
• Performs daily and periodic preventative maintenance duties specified for assigned machines/equipment.
• Maintains cleanliness of machines/equipment and adjacent work area.
• Reports quality issues and food safety violations to the Production Manager.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have experience in production, lamination, and printing settings, although this is not mandatory. Responsibilities in food safety are essential. Candidates must also demonstrate the ability to read rulers, understand gauges, and use a micrometer, as well as troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to complete production-related documentation on both computer and paper forms.
• Experience working additional overtime as required to complete job tasks.

Skills

• Understanding of lamination processes.
• Multiple machine qualifications preferred but not required.
• Troubleshooting skills.

Pay

The pay range for this role is $21 - $21 USD per hour.
