About the Role
The Labor Relations Analyst (Labor Coordinator) is responsible for technical labor relations staff work. The Labor Coordinator advises and assists managers and supervisors in the interpretation and application of labor agreements, codes, and laws. The Labor Coordinator investigates grievances and complaints and develops suggested responses. You will serve as the hospital designee at labor/management meetings, coordinate with Department of State Hospitals Labor Relations and other state hospital labor relations staff. The Labor Coordinator responds to inquiries from employees regarding labor/management relations and hospital policies, procedures, and practices. Labor Coordinator maintains and promotes effective working relationships with labor organizations.
Responsibilities
- Advises and assists managers and supervisors in the interpretation and application of labor agreements, codes, and laws.
- Investigates grievances and complaints and develops suggested responses.
- Serve as the hospital designee at labor/management meetings, coordinate with Department of State Hospitals Labor Relations and other state hospital labor relations staff.
- Responds to inquiries from employees regarding labor/management relations and hospital policies, procedures, and practices.
- Maintain and promote effective working relationships with labor organizations.
Qualifications
You are required to pass the Labor Relations Analyst (LRA) examination located at Labor Relations Analyst Exam Link on the CalCareers web site. Complete the STD 678 Employment Application in its entirety. Include duties performed, Supervisor’s name and contact information. Incomplete applications will be screened out.
