About the role
Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, seeks a Practice Group Attorney in the Labor & Employment Practice of our Phoenix office. This position is designed for attorneys looking for more flexibility within BigLaw, offering a reduced billable hour expectation (as low as 1200 per year) and increased remote work opportunities. It is not a shareholder track position.
Responsibilities
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
- Keen attention to detail and initiative to take ownership of work
- Legal research and writing, including analysis of complex issues
- Substantive drafting responsibilities such as research memos, written discovery requests and responses, position statements to administrative agencies, demand letter responses, and motion practice
- Substantive knowledge of basic employment concepts under Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, and similar federal and state employment laws
- Meaningful responsibility with a reduced caseload allowing for sustained focus on high-quality research and written work product
Requirements
- Strong academic credentials and references
- Member of the Arizona State Bar or willing to quickly become one
- Litigation experience, especially in substantive drafting responsibilities
Qualifications
