Labor & Employment Attorney
About the role
This is your chance to join a successful specialized law firm during a period of steady growth! As the firm’s newest Labor & Employment Attorney, you’ll represent and advise clients on a variety of labor and employment matters. The firm’s clientele ranges from private employers to public sector municipalities and nonprofits. Your work will primarily consist of counseling and advising clients, rather than going to trial. This will include giving practical day-to-day guidance, drafting and reviewing handbooks, responding to BOLI complaints, conducting research, and addressing client inquiries and concerns. You’ll lean on your knowledge of wage and hour compliance, leave policies, workplace accommodations, and discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
Responsibilities
- Counsel and advise clients on a variety of labor and employment matters
- Give practical day-to-day guidance
- Draft and review handbooks
- Respond to BOLI complaints
- Conduct research
- Address client inquiries and concerns
- Provide support to the firm’s attorneys and staff
Requirements
- 3-5+ years of labor and employment experience, preferably representing public sector employers
- Labor relations and negotiations experience
- Oregon State Bar membership
- JD degree
Qualifications
While you’ll need to be able to handle matters independently, the attorneys value collaboration, mentorship, and supporting one another. Ideally, you’ll be able to jump in right away to help with the high volume of work. That being said — this firm prioritizes work-life balance!

Pay
$100K-$150K DOE
Schedule
Flexible, hybrid schedule with reasonable billable hour requirements and bonuses for meeting and exceeding expectations.
