Labor & Employment Attorney

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated attorney with 5-12 years of experience to join our Labor & Employment practice group. The ideal candidate will have experience in labor and employment litigation and counselling, and be self-sufficient with a high level of dedication and discipline. Responsibilities

• Provide litigation support and day-to-day guidance to private sector and public agency clients on a variety of business and labor and employment matters.
• Handle all phases of litigation, including law and motion practice, written discovery, depositions, drafting pleadings, pretrial preparation, witness and exhibit preparation, trial, and appeals.
• Research and advise clients on personnel and employment-related issues.
• Lead significant pieces of litigation and collaborate with junior members of trial teams.
• Mentor other attorneys and help them develop their careers.
• Develop client contacts and demonstrate independent drive to advance within the firm.

Requirements

• 5-12 years of litigation experience; labor and employment experience is a plus.
• Trial experience is preferred.
• Exceptional writing skills and a strong academic background.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
• Strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and the ability to maintain professional relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and bring projects to completion.
