Labor & Employment Attorney

About the role

These opportunities are focused on California labor and employment law, employer-side litigation, advice and counsel, workplace counseling, administrative matters, class actions, single-plaintiff employment litigation, and high-stakes employee disputes. Candidates must be licensed in California with relevant experience in labor and employment litigation or counseling.

Responsibilities

• Focus on California labor and employment law
• Advise and counsel employers on employment-related issues
• Defend employers in high-stakes employment litigation
• Manage administrative matters including PAGA, class actions, and single-plaintiff cases
• Prepare and argue motions, briefs, and legal arguments
• Provide compliance counseling and support
• Engage in wage and hour, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other employment disputes

Requirements

• Licensed in California
• Experience in labor and employment litigation or counseling
• Comfortable advising or defending employers
• Strong writing, analytical, and client-facing skills
• Interest in California workplace law and employment disputes

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of experience for Labor & Employment Associate positions
• 1-7 years of experience for Labor & Employment Litigation Associate position
• 8+ years of experience for Employment Law Senior Attorney position

• PAGA litigation strategy
• Legal filings and settlement/trial representation
• Discovery, depositions, and compliance counseling
• Labor law audits and wage/hour policies
• Employee classification, meal/rest compliance, and severance agreements

Pay

• $170K-$250K for Labor & Employment Associate in Sacramento
• $150K-$215K for Labor & Employment Associate in Los Angeles/Irvine
• $150K-$350K + profit-sharing for Labor & Employment Litigation Associate in Los Angeles
• $175K-$230K for Employment Law Senior Attorney

Schedule

• Hybrid work model for Labor & Employment Associate in Sacramento and Labor & Employment Litigation Associate in Los Angeles/Irvine
• On-site work model for Labor & Employment Litigation Associate in Los Angeles
• Remote work model for Employment Law Senior Attorney
