About the role
Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, seeks a full-time 2nd – 4th year Associate in the Labor & Employment Practice in their Philadelphia office.
Responsibilities
- Assist in complex employment litigation and counseling capacities, working closely with Shareholders across the firm’s more than 50 offices.
- Work with clients, large and small, from various industries, interacting regularly with them.
- Provide advice on compliance issues related to leaves of absence, performance management, wage and hour compliance, and terminations.
- Draft personnel policies and employment agreements.
- Experience with class and collective action cases is a plus.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an employment-specific, defense-side role, focusing on complex litigation involving wage and hour, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, accommodations, and other employment claims.
- Experience advising employers on compliance issues related to leaves of absence, performance management, wage and hour compliance, and terminations.
- Strong academic performance in law school.
- Excellent interpersonal, writing, and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to take ownership over work and career.
Qualifications
- Must be in good standing with the PA State Bar; NJ admission is preferred.
