About the role
Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, seeks a full-time 2nd – 4th year Associate in the Labor & Employment Practice of their Florham Park, New Jersey office.
Responsibilities
- Work with clients, large and small, from various industries across the country, in both litigation and counseling capacities.
- Handle discrimination, harassment, retaliation, whistleblower, and other employment claims through litigation.
- Provide advice on compliance issues including terminations, leaves of absence, performance management, and wage and hour issues.
- Draft personnel policies and employment-related agreements.
Requirements
- 2 or more years of experience in an employment-specific, defense-side role with a regional or national firm, focusing on litigation involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, whistleblower, and other employment claims.
- Experience advising employers on compliance issues such as terminations, leaves of absence, performance management, and wage and hour issues.
- Experience drafting personnel policies and employment-related agreements.
- Strong academic performance in law school.
- Strong interpersonal, writing, and analytical skills.
- A commitment to detail and the ability, desire, and initiative to take ownership over work and career.
- In good standing with the NJ State Bar; NY admission preferred.

Pay
The expected pay range for this position is $200,000 - $235,000 per year. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
