About the role

Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, seeks a full-time 2nd – 4th year Associate in the Labor & Employment Practice in their Philadelphia office.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in complex employment litigation and counseling capacities, working closely with Shareholders across the firm’s more than 50 offices.
  • Work with clients, large and small, from a variety of industries, interacting regularly with them.
  • Advise employers on compliance issues related to leaves of absence, performance management, wage and hour compliance, and terminations.
  • Draft personnel policies and employment agreements.
  • Experience with class and collective action cases is a plus.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in an employment-specific, defense-side role, focusing on complex litigation involving wage and hour, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, accommodations, and other employment claims.
  • Strong academic performance in law school.
  • Excellent interpersonal, writing, and analytical skills.
  • A strong attention to detail and the ability to take ownership over work and career.
  • Must be in good standing with the PA State Bar; NJ admission is preferred.
