About the role

Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, seeks a full-time 2nd – 4th year Associate in the Labor & Employment Practice of their Florham Park, New Jersey office. The position offers competitive compensation and an excellent benefits package.

Responsibilities

  • Work with clients, large and small, from various industries across the country, in both litigation and counseling capacities.
  • Handle litigation involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, whistleblower, and other employment claims.
  • Provide advice on compliance issues, including terminations, leaves of absence, performance management, and wage and hour issues.
  • Draft personnel policies and employment-related agreements.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in an employment-specific, defense-side role with a regional or national firm, focusing on litigation involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, whistleblower, and other employment claims.
  • Experience advising employers on compliance issues, such as terminations, leaves of absence, performance management, and wage and hour issues.
  • Experience drafting personnel policies and employment-related agreements.
  • Strong academic performance in law school.
  • Strong interpersonal, writing, and analytical skills.
  • A commitment to detail and the ability, desire, and initiative to take ownership over work and career.
  • Admission to the NJ State Bar; NY admission preferred.

Pay

The expected pay range for this position is $200,000 - $235,000 per year. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

Schedule

Full-time employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
