High Risk Labor and Delivery Nurse
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized care for high-acuity obstetric patients in a dynamic hospital environment.
- Assess and monitor high-risk mothers and infants, managing complications effectively.
- Assist with inductions, high-risk deliveries, and surgical procedures.
- Respond promptly to obstetric emergencies to ensure patient safety.
- Collaborate with OB/GYNs, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and support staff.
- Educate families about care plans and procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold evidence-based, patient-first safety standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and monitoring skills for high-risk obstetric patients.
- Ability to manage obstetric complications and emergencies efficiently.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with multidisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and patient safety.
- Experience in labor and delivery, preferably with high-risk patient care.
