About the Role
The Labor and Delivery Nurse provides direct patient care within the scope of nursing practice, utilizing therapeutic communication and maintaining a safe, confidential environment.

Responsibilities
- Plan individualized care using the nursing process
- Perform technical skills
- Coordinate interdisciplinary efforts
- Participate in performance improvement activities
- When acting as charge nurse, assign staff, ensure quality care, and serve as a clinical resource
Qualifications
- Degree from an accredited nursing program (B.S. or A.S.)
- At least 1 year of RN experience
- Preferred experience in labor and delivery
- Current licensure by the relevant nursing board
Certifications
- BLS (required)
- ACLS (within 6 months of hire)
- NRP (within 6 months of hire)
- CPI (within 6 months of hire)
