Lab Technician (PRN)

About the role

The Lab Assistant performs clinical and pharmacokinetic specimen collection and processing, primarily for Phase 1 clinical trials involving healthy volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lab Manager with sample processing
• Monitor specimen collections
• Ensure sample area cleanliness
• Maintain proper labeling and documentation
• Act as a courier to the pharmacokinetic laboratory
• Ensure participant comfort and safety
• Manage safety lab requisitions
• Perform clerical duties as needed

Requirements

• Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician or at least six months of phlebotomy experience in a medical setting
• Strong communication skills
• Understanding of medical terminology
• Proficiency in computer applications such as Word, Excel, and industry-specific software
• Flexibility for varying hours, including weekends or early/late shifts

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Clinical research experience
• BLS/ACLS certification
• Knowledge of GCP and ICH guidelines
