About the role
The Laboratory Technician at Evolution Research Group (ERG) supports clinical trial execution by assisting with document management, conducting clinical assessments, and supporting laboratory functions. This role requires adherence to Good Clinical Practices (GCP), International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) guidelines, and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate, confidential files and documentation of study participants.
- Interact with subjects, staff, and representatives of sponsors or CROs with good customer service.
- Perform clinical skills such as phlebotomy, vital sign measurements, and ECGs.
- Collect demographic, medical, and medication histories.
- Complete safety assessments and work closely with various team members including the Director of Clinical Operations, Clinical Research Coordinators, Sub-Investigator, and Principal Investigator.
- Enter and respond to queries for data entry on multiple Electronic Data Capture platforms.
- Meet defined goals set by site leadership.
- Study and comply with ERG's standard operating procedures and other relevant policies, practices, and regulations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a medical setting or training/certification as a Medical Assistant/CNA.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements and GCP/ICH guidelines.
- Ability to adapt behavior to achieve desired outcomes despite environmental factors.
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Excellent communication skills (interpersonal, written, verbal).
- Basic computer skills including Word, Excel, and proprietary applications used in the clinical research industry.
