Responsibilities
- Cook up and oversee the kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and productivity
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, focusing on their professional growth
- Create and refine menu items that highlight seasonal ingredients and culinary trends
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines as per regulations
- Manage inventory and order kitchen supplies and ingredients efficiently
- Collaborate with the head chef on special events and catering menus
- Contribute to budgeting and cost control for kitchen operations
- Promote consistency in food preparation and presentation
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a kitchen management role
- Proven culinary skills with expertise in diverse cooking techniques
- Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities
- Proficiency in kitchen management software and tools
- A solid grasp of food safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with staff and guests
- A relevant culinary degree or certification is preferred
Pay
A competitive salary range of $70,000 - $80,000 annually
