Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure quality food preparation
- Manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Develop and update the menu to ensure variety and seasonal offerings
- Maintain food safety and sanitation practices in the kitchen
- Control food costs and maintain inventory levels
- Foster a positive and productive work environment within the kitchen team
- Collaborate with front-of-house management to ensure efficient service
- Implement new cooking techniques and trends to enhance food quality
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager or similar role in a casual dining setting
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety standards
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Able to manage a diverse team effectively
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with staff and management
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Familiarity with inventory management and food cost control
- High school diploma or relevant culinary diploma is preferred
