About the role

Provide mentoring services on weeknights, weekends, and weekend evenings to moderate and high-risk youth and families. Support youth in successfully completing their probationary period and reducing recidivism through academic support, emotional development, and opportunities for pro-social activities and peer engagement.

Work closely with youth and families involved with Tarrant County Juvenile Services (TCJS) and other team members. Maintain frequent communication with the youth probation officer and provide written monthly updates about the youth’s progress and services received.

Deliver individualized, trauma-informed, culturally, and linguistically competent community-based services.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License (required)
  • Lived experience navigating the juvenile justice system (preferred)
  • Bilingual – Spanish (preferred)
  • Candidates with unique skill sets and varied educational levels (preferred)
