IT Specialist - Prescott, AZ

Davidson’s, 90 years young, is an innovative leader in firearms distribution recognized for its excellence in customer service, product offerings, and financial stability. We are seeking an IT Specialist to join our hard-working Information Technology team in Prescott, Arizona.

About the role

The successful hands-on candidate will be an expert at IT support for over 200 employees across 5 locations and remote users, while maintaining and securing our IT infrastructure. This role involves both technical support and network security to protect against unauthorized access, modifications, or destruction of corporate data.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day operations of IT infrastructure for the company
• Install new software and hardware components, including cloud and VMware resources
• Maintain and monitor tools for the company’s network topology
• Regularly evaluate IT systems to ensure they meet necessary demands and security requirements
• Resolve issues staff have with their IT systems and associated software
• Assist with network and systems administration
• Work with internal and external clients to resolve tickets and issues
• Educate coworkers about network security and best practices for computer usage
• Provide rotating on-call technical support after hours

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role
• Working knowledge of relevant operating systems, software, network topology, and design (VMware V-SAN or similar)
• Hands-on experience with AWS: administering existing multi-server environments, spinning up new environments, IAM, and backups
• Ability to lift, move, and inspect computer equipment, servers, printers, and related hardware
• Certifications from CompTIA, Microsoft, VMware, AWS, or equivalent educational credentials (a plus)
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Professional and articulate communication with internal and external contacts at all levels

Pay

Starting pay of $25.00 per hour.
