IT Specialist
About the role
Evans & Dixon is seeking an IT Specialist to join our expanding and fast-paced Kansas City office. Candidates must be responsible, able to multi-task, and possess excellent technical and interpersonal skills. We are looking for self-disciplined candidates with a strong work ethic, a creative and diplomatic approach to problem solving, and a keen sense of organization.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with IT Staff and IT consultants to maintain proper function of the firm's technology systems and environment.
- Follow company IT security protocols and assist in maintaining network integrity and compliance standards.
- Respond to user inquiries and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues to ensure minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
- Log, track, and resolve tickets using help desk software; escalate unresolved issues to appropriate IT personnel when necessary.
- Ensure timely notification to users on system changes and system outages.
- Assist with setup and deployment of workstations, laptops, mobile devices, conference room equipment, and peripheral equipment.
- Assist with planned expansion.
- Occasional travel required.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or other related technical fields.
- Previous Helpdesk experience.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Proficient in basic network cabling tasks, such as creating patch cables and installing structured cabling.

Schedule
This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours a week. The role is based at our downtown Kansas City office with significant time spent at our Overland Park office.
