Role Overview
This role is for an individual contributor primarily responsible for executing a project plan for a construction initiative. The position involves serving as a liaison for internal customers, third-party vendors, and senior management.
Responsibilities
- Manage projects of medium size or complexity, or components of a larger project.
- Develop and execute project plans, including schedule and resource forecasts.
- Manage project performance concerning time, budget, scope, and quality, providing input for costs and budget impact.
- Manage project financials for medium-sized projects.
- Monitor project risks with guidance from a more senior Project Manager and escalate when appropriate.
- Manage project activities related to organizational change management, such as user adoption, implementation, and training plans.
- Assemble internal or external resources, ensuring team member skills align with project demands.
- Ensure adherence to established processes and policies.
- Promote the project vision and objectives with the project team.
- Pursue self-development and effective relationships by sharing information, listening to feedback, and adapting to change.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School diploma required.
- 4–5 years of Project Management experience.
- IT Project Management experience related to construction is essential.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience working with the implementation of project life cycle methodologies.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience managing project budgets.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- PMP certification preferred.
Work Environment
- This role requires travel to various islands in Hawaii approximately 25% of the time.
- The standard dress code is business formal, with different attire required for construction site walks.
