IT Project Manager
About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic IT Project Manager to lead technology projects across our college. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and technical skills to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
- Cook up internal teams and third-party vendors for flawless execution.
- Manage project risks, issues, and changes to ensure successful delivery.
- Monitor and report on project progress, KPIs, and milestones to stakeholders.
- Facilitate meetings, presentations, and status updates with cross-functional teams.
- Ensure compliance with IT governance, security, and quality standards.
- Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and tools.
Qualifications
- Achieved an associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Held 3-5 years of experience managing IT projects (software, infrastructure, or systems).
- Possessed PMP or a Project Management certification.
- Showed proven experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira).
- Understood SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Exhibited excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in cloud migration and Student Information Systems (SIS) implementation projects.
- Had budgeting and financial tracking experience.
- Showed ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Benefits
- Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000 (Commensurate with background and experience)
