Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
- High School/GED and four years of relevant professional experience in addition to 7 years required experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree.
- 7 years of work-related experience; including 5 years of management/supervisory experience.
- Advanced knowledge in Cisco technology, protocols and security systems in a converged network environment which encompasses local, wide area, wireless and VoIP applications.
- Strong multi-platform system technical skills; strong analytical and system design skills.
- Strong background in technical support and operations management; exceptional supervisory and organizational skills.
- Verbal and written communications skills; interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with the public, vendors, other employees, and elected officials.
- Advanced Technical Certifications preferred.
Plans, manages, and provides work direction for infrastructure, voice, and audio-visual teams.
- Ensures customer service levels are adhered to and SLAs for response times are maintained.
- Captures work performed by outside vendors and monitors vendor service levels that are utilized in support of special events such as emergency response, elections support and network deployments.
- Participation and recommendation of new technology solutions for items such as Network Management, Infrastructure design, Remote connectivity support, and Justice Center Support.
- Researches and recommends technology in support of long-range infrastructure design and implementation planning.
- Recommends and implements infrastructure policies and other technology standards to ensure adherence of approved disaster recovery procedures.
- On call 24/7 for IT support issues.
- Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
