IT Generalist
About the Role
We are seeking an IT professional to participate in the design of solutions alongside our sales and engineering teams. This role involves identifying, diagnosing, and resolving a wide range of second and third-level problems for end-users and client systems, including workstations, laptops, terminal services, software/hardware, network/VPN connectivity, server services, cloud environments, and network infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Resolve second and third-level issues for end-users, including workstations, laptops, terminal services, software/hardware, network/VPN connectivity, and internet-related problems.
- Diagnose and resolve issues for client systems, server services, drive space, and error messages for escalation.
- Set up, maintain, and manage client Windows Server, cloud, and network environments.
- Create and maintain client-related documentation.
- Advocate for customer needs and manage their expectations and timelines.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Service Desk & IT infrastructure support in an SMB environment.
- 5+ years of Windows Server experience.
- Ability to build multiple versions of Windows Server from scratch and support them.
- Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and supporting virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, Azure, AWS).
- Experience designing, deploying, and supporting SAN, VOIP phone, firewalls, switches, and managed wireless solutions.
- Experience with cloud computing solutions such as Office 365, Azure, and AWS.
- Deep understanding of Active Directory administration, DHCP, DNS, routing, switching, and networking.
- Significant experience with Exchange, terminal servers, anti-virus solutions, backup software, Office 365, security solutions, and VoIP phone systems.
- Previous MSP technical experience preferred.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $42.00 per hour. Individual compensation will depend on qualifications, skills, experience, job knowledge, geographic location, and internal equity.
