IT Generalist

Position Summary

The IT Generalist provides day-to-day technical support and helps maintain the organization's technology environment. This role assists with user support, system maintenance, troubleshooting, cloud services, and general IT operations. The IT Generalist works closely with other IT team members to ensure systems remain reliable, secure, and available for business users.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for hardware, software, and user issues
• Monitor systems and assist with maintaining technology platforms
• Perform routine updates, patching, and maintenance activities
• Support Microsoft environments including Active Directory and Intune
• Aid with cloud-based technologies, including AWS
• Troubleshoot basic network, system, and connectivity issues
• Help maintain documentation, inventory records, and procedures
• Support backups, recovery activities, and technology upgrades
• Escalate complex issues to other IT staff as needed
• Follow IT security standards and best practices
• Deliver excellent customer service to end users

Required Skills

• Customer service and end-user support

• AWS or cloud platform experience
• Help Desk or Desktop Support experience
• Windows operating systems
• Basic networking knowledge
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving
• Strong communication skills

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred
• 2+ years of experience in IT support, Help Desk, Desktop Support, or IT operations
• Experience with Windows environments, cloud services, or network support preferred
• Experience with system updates, patching, and backup processes is a plus

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Harrisburg, PA.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
