Intern - Power Generation Engineering (Clover Power Station)

About the role

Dominion Energy Virginia is seeking a highly motivated Power Station Intern to support operations and maintenance activities at Clover Power Station located in Clover, VA. This internship provides students with hands‑on experience in a power generation environment while working alongside experienced professionals across multiple functional areas.

Responsibilities

• Support equipment inspections and collect operational data.
• Analyze data and assist with project research.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to station reliability and performance efforts.
• Observe and participate in day‑to‑day plant activities and attend team meetings.
• Support projects that enhance safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the station.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical) at an ABET‑accredited institution.
• Expected graduation in 2028 or 2029.
• Minimum GPA of 2.5.

Compensation

Hourly rate: $27.00 – $29.00, dependent on degree type, academic major, and school classification.
