Intern - Power Generation Mechanical Engineering
We Energies, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Power Generation Mechanical Engineering Intern in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This internship begins in May/June 2027 and will be full-time through the summer, with potential for part-time work during the school year.

Responsibilities
- Support and shadow the plant mechanical engineer
- Assist with equipment reliability and capital project support
- Gain familiarity with company computer applications, drawing management systems, and work management tools
- Search, retrieve, review, and update drawings and related technical documentation
- Help troubleshoot operation and maintenance issues under direct supervision
- Participate in safety observations and environmental walkdowns
- Support outage planning activities, including scope development, material management, and vendor selection
- Learn about high-energy piping inspections to detect and manage flow-accelerated corrosion
- Complete assigned training on corporate policies, plant systems, and safety
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or HSED
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with a graduation date after July 2027
- Minimum GPA of 2.8
- Valid driver’s license

Pay
The starting hourly rate for this position is $23.10, with a pay range of $23.10 to $27.55. Paid company holidays are included.
