About the role

This is a Full-Time On-Site position at West Star Aviation in Perryville, MO. West Star is a rapidly growing MRO provider dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service and personal/professional growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Repair, refurbish and reinstall interior upholstery components on business aircraft
  • Perform basic to advanced foam build-ups, patterning and sewing of seat parts and other upholstery items
  • Perform daily turnover sheets
  • Maintain and repair shop facility, equipment and tooling
  • Manage cleanliness of shop and surroundings
  • Communicate effectively (speaking, writing, reading) in English
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • A High school diploma or equivalent
  • A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not required
  • Experience in upholstery in aviation, auto, RV, Marine or related fields
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable transportation to work
  • Comply with FAA guidelines and follow company safety rules
  • Customer-oriented work habits
  • Ability to perform minor modifications and assist in major modifications

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Basic computer skills
  • Physical strength to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to perform routine walking, bending, squatting, sitting, and repetitive motions
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs
  • Ability to work in small, confined spaces
  • Understanding of OSHA, Hazmat, and other relevant regulations
