About the role

This position is available at West Star Aviation, a leading independent MRO provider with multiple facilities across the United States. The role of Interior Upholstery Technician involves repairing, refurbishing, and reinstalling interior upholstery components on business aircraft. Duties include general upholstery tasks, seat installation, disassembly, cleaning, and repairs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic to advanced foam build-ups, patterning, and sewing of seat parts and other upholstery items.
  • Remove and install seats, disassemble, clean, and repair components as needed.
  • Work under the direction of the Team Leader and perform tasks as assigned.
  • May supervise other technicians in some capacity.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid driver's license for airline travel and/or a valid passport (optional).
  • Experience: Tech I (0-2 years), Tech II (2-4 years), Tech III (4-6 years), Master Tech (6+ years) in upholstery, auto, RV, marine, or related fields.
  • Self-motivated, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and follow specific deadlines.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to work shifts, including weekends.
  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration guidelines and company safety rules.

Qualifications

Pay

The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $20 - $35, with additional compensation for shift differential. The range is subject to change based on various factors including location, experience, and performance.
