Intellectual Property Litigation Associate

About the role

Quarles & Brady LLP seeks an associate with 2-5 years of experience to join our dynamic national Intellectual Property group practice as an IP Litigation attorney.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in IP litigation
• Undergraduate degree or advanced degree in a technological or scientific field is preferred but not required
• Very strong academic record
• Outstanding organizational, communication and writing skills

Responsibilities

• Representing clients in all stages of patent, trademark, trade secrets, and other intellectual property litigation
• Early case assessment and investigations, including accused products and prior art analysis
• Drafting invalidity and infringement claim charts and assisting with contentions
• Drafting pleadings and motions, including handling related meet-and-confers
• Preparing and responding to written discovery and working with e-discovery tools and vendors
• Managing complex discovery and discovery negotiations
• Preparing claim construction briefs and hearing materials
• Working with experts on reports and testimony
• Preparing deposition outlines and exhibits
