$19.51 - $25.69 per hour (CSEA General Unit Salary Schedule)

Schedule

• Part-time, permanent position
• 9 months/year (206 days/year)
• 5 days/week (Monday - Friday)
• 6-hour workday: 7:45 AM - 2:15 PM

Responsibilities

• Run small groups and assist students in large groups in both Special Day Class settings and General Education
• Support teacher needs in Resource, Learning Handicap, or Communicatively Handicap programs
• Perform duties as outlined in the Instructional Assistant I / II / III job description

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (must be attached to application)
• One of the following (must be attached to application):
  • Passing score from San Juan Unified School District's Proficiency Exam (April 2005 or later)
  • Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST)
• For IA II mild/moderate roles: experience working with students in Resource, Learning Handicap, or Communicatively Handicap programs
• In some programs: possession of, or willingness and ability to obtain, a valid California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire
