About the role
RitterTech, an MCE Company, seeks an Inside Sales Representative to serve as a critical partner for demanding customers. The position is based in Bolingbrook, IL.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the inside technical partner for a dedicated set of complex accounts, understanding unique requirements and ensuring every order, quote, and delivery meets expectations.
- Manage inbound and outbound customer communication promptly and professionally, building trust through consistent and reliable service.
- Partner with the outside sales team to support long-term account planning, forecasting, and growth strategies.
- Process quotes and orders accurately and efficiently, providing technical consultation on fluid power systems and related solutions.
- Monitor open orders for on-time delivery against customer commitments, flagging issues proactively before they escalate.
- Engage with RitterTech's engineering and application teams on complex or custom requirements.
- Forecast inventory purchases based on customer demand patterns to ensure product availability and minimize lead time surprises.
- Conduct Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) reviews for assigned accounts to optimize stock levels and replenishment.
- Maintain accurate records in CRM and ERP systems, keeping account activity, order status, and customer details current.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of inside sales, account management, or technical customer service experience.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Experience with ERP and/or CRM platforms.
- Organized and detail-oriented, managing multiple complex accounts simultaneously.
- Clear, professional communicator with the ability to build rapport quickly and handle customer challenges calmly.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience is preferred.
- Nice to have: Knowledge of fluid power systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, or related components; fluid power systems training or certifications; 5+ years of customer success or technical inside sales experience; familiarity with the MRO industry; Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
