Inside Sales
Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of fluid conveyance products and solutions, including hoses, fittings, valves, and related components.
- Apply comprehensive fluid power and application knowledge to effectively promote and sell fluid conveyance products and value-added solutions to new customers.
- Manage communication with customers via phone & email.
- Learn about products and vendors to develop proficiency in Hydraquip's products and manufacturer partners.
- Manage quotes, order entry, order updates, expediting, product issues/returns for assigned customers.
- Communicate with internal and vendor contacts to understand and respond to delivery needs.
- Uncover opportunities for outside sales, from conversations with new and current customers.
- Support and participate in the organization's continual improvement program to conform to ISO 9001.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent secondary education.
- Experience with customer communication via phone & email.
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, familiar with basic Microsoft Excel function, experience with order entry/ERP systems a plus.
- Experience working with technical products a plus.
- Experience working in an ISO 9001 environment a plus.
- Sound problem solving skills.
- Ability to make decisions demonstrating initiative and assertiveness.
- Willingness to learn technical products and manufacturers.
- Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work well with customers; team members; and individuals in other departments.
- Excellent communication skills. The ability to articulate technical and conceptual information in a clear, concise and effective way.
- Excellent organization - ability to track multiple projects for customers and sales representatives. Ensuring all information is documented and communicated effectively.
Qualifications
Hydraquip is an 100% employee-owned company with offices in TX, LA, OK, CO and TN. The Fluid Conveyance Inside Sales position supports all of Texas and Oklahoma and involves working in cooperation with outside sales representatives, purchasing and warehouse personnel. This role requires a deep understanding of fluid conveyance products and solutions, including hoses, fittings, valves, and related components. It also demands comprehensive fluid power and application knowledge to effectively promote and sell these products and value-added solutions to new customers. The position involves managing communication with customers via phone & email, learning about products and vendors, managing quotes, order entry, order updates, expediting, product issues/returns, and communicating with internal and vendor contacts to understand and respond to delivery needs. Additionally, this role requires uncovering opportunities for outside sales and participating in the organization's continual improvement program to conform to ISO 9001.
